Dear Alumni and Friends,
Welcome to the home page of TsingHua Alumni Association of Georgia (THAAG) and hope you feel like at your TsingHua "Home" while you are surfing this page. It started from a few TsingHua alumni who meet irregularly to review their TsingHua history and to share their experience from the both sides of Pacific Ocean. From time to time, they met new friends who were also from TsingHua University. How many TsingHua Alumni are resided in Great Atlanta area? How many Atlantans know that there is a famous TsingHua University at another side of the Pacific Ocean? The desire to know their alumni better, to group themselves together, and to let TsingHua University better known by the community collected more than fourty (40) TsingHua alumni into a "TSINGHUA ALUMNI REUNION PARTY" held at Dr. James Zhou's residence on Nov. 4, 1995. The party was a very successful one. Old friends met old friends; new friends met new friends. Of course, some old friends met some new friends. Alumni reviewed TsingHua campus photos and enjoyed B.B.Q, Karaoke, Majang, Cards, and Pingpong. Based on common interest, an official organization committee for TsingHua Alumni Association of Georgia (THAAG) was selected during the party. The committee members are James Zhou (Georgia Tech), Xiaoyuan Dong (Georgia Tech), Jian-Zhong Huang (AT&T GIS), Wei Deng (MCI), Wei Wang (Law Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.), Zhiruo Cao (Georgia Tech), and Jun Shen (Georgia Tech). The committee is responsible for collecting alumni, completing a directory, building up this home page, and applying for nonprofit organization status if necessary. The formal establishment of the TsingHua Alumni Association of Georgia (THAAG) was scheduled on spring of 1996. TsingHua Alumni Association Georgia (THAAG) is an non-profit and non-political organization. We welcome TsingHua Alumni from both Beijing and Hsinchu campuses. Hope the exchange between our alumni will make our life easier and happier. With best wishes to all of you Dr. James Zhou Organization Committee of THAAG Nov. 27, 1995
